PKR Deposit Bonus

PKR currently offers 3 different initial deposit bonuses that are targeted at different types of players.  The most popular offer is a 100% initial deposit bonus up to $800 on all deposits from $10 and up.  PKR also offers a $50 fixed bonus for deposits of $50 and over, and a 100% up to $2000 bonus for deposits over $1000.  The first option is usually the best option for most players, but the $50 fixed option could also be the best because this bonus is the easiest to clear.  In order to clear any of the bonuses you have to earn PKR points by playing in PKR Poker tournaments and cash games.

In PKR Poker tournaments you earn 100 points for every $1 you spend in tournament fees.  For example if you play a $10 + $1 tournament you will earn 100 PKR points.  In PKR cash games you earn 1 PKR point for every $0.01 you contributed to the rake.  For example, if you contributed $10 to a $50 pot, from which $2.50 of rake was taken, you would have contributed $0.50 of rake, which equals 50 PKR points.

For the normal 100% up to $800 PKR bonus you must earn 225 points for every $1 of the bonus.  This means that for every $1 you pay in entry fees or contribute to the rake in cash games you clear $0.44 of your bonus.  This is a good ratio, which is slightly higher than the $0.42 that is cleared for every $1 paid in tournament fees at Full Tilt Poker or Cake Poker.
The $50 fixed PKR bonus is even easier to clear.  You must earn only 150 PKR points for every $1 of the bonus.  This means that you clear $0.67 of your bonus for every $1 you pay in tournament fees or rake.  This ratio is probably the best in online poker, as it is even better than the PokerStars ratio of $0.50 cleared for every $1 paid in tournament fees.

The 100% up to $2000 PKR bonus, for which you must deposit at least $1000, you must earn 250 PKR points for every $1 of the bonus.  This means that every $1 you contribute in rake or tournament fees clears $0.40 of the bonus.  This is not quite as good a ratio as the other two deposit options, but it is still a very good ratio for a bonus of this size.  

No matter what bonus option you choose the bonus is released into your real money account as a lump sum after you have cleared the entire bonus.  You have 60 days to clear the 100% up to $800 and 100% up to $2000 bonuses, whereas you are given 90 days to clear the $50 fixed bonus.  If you have not cleared your bonus in the time frame given, the entire bonus will be lost.  For this reason you should make sure that you choose a bonus amount that you are confident you will be able to clear.

At PKR players recieve a first deposit option that is right for you.  Most players will want to choose the 100% up to $800 bonus, but if you are planning on depositing $50, or you want an easier to clear bonus then the $50 fixed bonus is the way to go.  Then of course there is the 100% up to $2000 for the high rollers out there.  The clearing conditions for each of the bonuses are very reasonable, bettering some of the top rooms in the industry, such as Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and Cake Poker. 

The only problem with the PKR bonuses is that you are only given 60 days to clear the entire bonus and if you aren’t able to finish clearing your bonus the entire amount is lost.  As long as you choose an amount that you will be able to clear PKR’s initial deposit bonus options are among the best in online poker.
